With the Runaween Web Experience, amce studios has won six prestigious awards at international design awards.

In recent weeks, amce studios has received six major awards from international juries. The awards, including the Innovation Design Award, UI Design Award, UX Design Award and Website Of The Day November 16, 2024, the CSS Design Award, recognize outstanding achievements in the area of web experience. The Halloween Web Experience by amce studios will also receive an Honorable Mention from awwwards and the FWA Of The Day (FOTD) Award on November 9, 2024.

Kasra Mani, art director, amce studios GmbH about the project: “Runaween is an immersive web experience inspired by eighties cinematic films like Nightmare or Halloween. [...] The story goes as a young boy getting home with a bus at night, somewhere in a suburban neighborhood, probably in America, like all the classic eighties horror films. He gets off the bus and as he's walking towards his house, he catches the bus driver murdering one of the passengers from the bus with avicious mask and a bloody hammer.

Then the bus driver starts chasing the character down the road. And this is where the game actually starts and you as the player should run from the bus driver and try to get to the safe spot, not getting caught by the driver because if you do, then you're done.”

A web experience that packs a lot — Runaween invites users into the scary Halloween world, where you have to fear for your life with interactive gaming elements.

The immersive experience tells the story of a boy who unplanned becomes part of a murderous act and has to flee from the perpetrator as the last witness.

The start animation immerses those interested in the story, the over-the-counter experience was praised by several international juries for its innovation and combines website and game in a train.
